My lecture "High-Dimensional Data Analysis: The Curses
and Blessings of Dimensionality" was delivered the morning of August 8, 2000, exactly 100 years
to the day after David Hilbert's Math. Problems lecture of August
8 1900. However, my 23 problems of that day had largely to do
with my own chromosome pairs and the inherent limitations they
impose.
