R is a powerful statistical package, a free implementation of the
S language. It takes 10 minutes to install, is easy to use,
and has production quality graphics.

You don't need to know R to start using PAM.

To use PAM, you need to first install R on your computer. Go to the

<a href="http://www.r-project.org"> R project </a>,

Click on CRAN under Download, You probably want a pre-compiled version. Eg for windows,
click on Windows (95 or later), click on base/,  and download
SetupR.exe.

Click on the icon on your computer and follow instructions.
Probably all of the default  installations settings are fine.
